Urology Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina Founded

At the founding assembly held on 5 May 2026, the Urology Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UUBiH) was officially established - a voluntary, non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit professional organization that brings together urology specialists, residents and other healthcare workers interested in the advancement of urology.

The Association's headquarters is at the Clinic of Urology and Transplantation, University Clinical Center of Sarajevo (Bolnička 25, Sarajevo). Upon entry into the register of associations at the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 18 May 2026, the Association's Statute entered into force, whereby the Association acquired the status of a legal entity.

The Statute sets out the Association's objectives and activities, which include:

• advancing the urological profession in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
• promoting modern medical standards;
• developing scientific and research work in urology;
• improving the education of physicians and healthcare workers;
• organizing professional and scientific gatherings in the field of urology;
• improving the quality of healthcare for patients;
• cooperating with domestic and international professional organizations.

The Association is governed by the Assembly, as its highest body, and by the president, secretary and treasurer, who are elected by the Assembly for a four-year term.

We invite urology specialists and residents, as well as healthcare workers in related fields, to join the Association and contribute to the development of urology in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
